The meeting was called to order by Eric at 2:36. The American pledge was lead by Jacinto. The 4-H pledge was lead by Eric. Roll Call sheet was passed around. Minutes from November were read by Kaitlin. Treasures report was read by Jenny.

Old business

1) Enrollment forms

2) Community service projects- Kindred Spirits Animal Sanctuary, Horsemen Association, Heifer International, Sponsor a girl in India, write letters to her.

New business

1) Valentine’s Day dance

2) We decided to have another dog show

We went over dates to remember. The meeting was adjourned. We wrapped presents for the family in need.

The meeting was called to order by Eric at 12:15.  The American pledge was led by Maureen.  The 4-H pledge was lead by Kelsey.  The roll call sheet was pass around.  The minutes were read by Kaitlin.  The treasurer's report was read by Jenny.

Enrollment forms were discussed under old business.

Under new business:
- We discussed a Valentine's dance and a committee was formed.  The head of the committee is Jenny.  The other people in the committee are Kelsey, Tomas, Jacinto, and Maureen. 
- The Western Regional Leaders Forum for parents is in Albuquerque on March 11-14, 2010. 
- We planned a Christmas party.  It will be at Anne's house and it will be pot luck.
- We discussed going to an animal sanctuary.

We talked about the family that we are getting presents for.  We got to look at things at the vet hospital.

This October we held our meeting at Shaking Wind Ranch.  It was called to order at 2:07 PM by Anne Martinez, leader.  The American Pledge was led by Jenny Paige and the 4-H Pledge was led by Kaitlin Dobesh.  Jacinto Martin read the minutes from our Sept. meeting and Jenny Paige gave the Treasurer's Report.  We voted that we are going to adopt a family in need for Christmas.  Enrollment forms were passed out for the upcoming 4-H year and we elected our new officers.

Following our election of new officers, Ms. Alicia Nation, President of the NM Mustang and Burro Assoc., gave us a presentation with her horses.  We had lots of opportunities to ask questions and she informed us about their Youth-Yearling Adoption Programs.  Our next meeting will be held at Smith Veterinary Hospital on Nov. 22, 2009 at 12:00 PM.

This is the report for the Northern Stars 4-H Club’s June 6th meeting at Santa Cruz Lake. The meeting was called to order by Avery Rowlison at 11:55 am. The secretary’s report was read by Eric Paige. Jennifer Paige gave the treasurer’s report. We discussed old business. We recapped the Dog Show we held in May. We discussed any ideas for improving our web site (www.nstars4h.com). New business discussed was who is doing what for the Horse Fun Day, July 25th at 1:00 pm. We also told everyone to spread the flyers for Horse Fun Day. We then went fishing.

The May meeting of the Northern Stars 4-H club was called to order by Avery Rowlison on May 17 at the Santa Fe County Fairgrounds. Kaitlin Dobesh led the American pledge and Tomas Martinez recited the 4-H pledge. Jacinto Martin read the minutes from the last meeting. Jennifer Paige read the Treasurer’s report. Then we decided our club would provide partial scholarships to our club members interested in going to 4-H sponsored schools. We discussed in depth what to do on our Horse Fun Day on July 25. Every club family agreed to bring one dozen cookies and one dozen tortillas to District Contests. We decided to have our next meeting at Anne Martinez’s house and then leave for a club fishing outing. The meeting was adjourned and we conducted our Dog Show at the County Fair Grounds.

This is the report from the April 19 Northern Stars 4-H Club. The members participated in an activity consisting of mapping the counties of New Mexico and their commodities. Jennifer Paige, who was filling in for Avery Rowlison, called the meeting to order at 2:31 PM. Jacinto Martin recited the 4-H pledge, and Maureen Martin led us in the American Pledge. Jacinto Martin also reported on the minutes from March’s meeting, and Jennifer Paige gave us the Treasurer’s Report. We then discussed the New/Old Business. We discussed the Dog Show we are having May 17, 11 AM, and our judge was even there to fill us in on the contests. We also discussed the Horse Fun Day we are having this year on July 25, 1 PM. We also had a report on the Home Ec School by Jennifer Paige. She thought it was BRILLIANT! We then voted on partial scholarships for the Club members going to Livestock/Horse school. Then Eric Paige and Jennifer Paige reported on County Contests. We had demonstrations from Eric & Jenny Paige, and Tomas Martinez. We will have our next meeting at the Dog Show on May 17, 9 AM.
